As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machine Shop Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance operations and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS).

Position Summary:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance in a high-precision CNC machining environment. This role requires hands-on experience with QMS (such as ISO 9001), strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing quality standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the company’s QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits; coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and documentation.
  • Supervise quality inspectors and provide training to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
  • Investigate nonconformities and customer complaints, lead root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to improve processes and reduce defects.
  • Maintain calibration program for measurement tools and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of quality experience in a CNC/machine shop environment.
  • Proven experience managing ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, GD&T, inspection techniques, and metrology.
  • Proficient in using precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc.)
  • Experience with NCRs, CARs, and managing audit findings.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality software/tools.
Preferred:
  • Experience with AS9100.
  • CMM Experience.
  • QMS Expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred (not required).
